Noida – A new emerging city next to Delhi has been facing severe supply shortages of Hotel Rooms. The city is boosting with amazing Infrastructure, IT Hub of Northern India, Educational Hub of Northern India, Exhibition Hub of Northern India however the number of Hotels are very few to cater to this ever growing industries in the city.
The Population of Noida as a City was 6,00,000-/- residents in the year 2011 which has grown manifolds to more then 50,00,000-/- residents in the year 2018. With more & more people migrating to this city, Hotels are an immediate go to for immediate relocation.
Being concerned with the above development, The governing land Authority of Noida had allotted plots for Hotels in the year 2011 but the sale had no buyers as the price demanded by Authority was exceptionally high.
At present Noida has only few Hotels like JAYPEE, Radisson, Fortune Hotels, Ginger Hotels, Hotel P.K. Residency, Mosaic Hotels, Park Ascent with a total inventory of not more then 1000 rooms. This is very inadequate for a big city now like Noida.
Currently the major recipient of this huge difference of Supply & Demand are Guest Houses which are mostly managed in an unprofessional manner and are mostly operated by Oyorooms. Oyorooms has expanded with its budget inventory all over India in the recent years but still quality looms to be a big question to its existence.
During the India Pharma Week that was held in Indo Expo Centre Greater Noida this shortage became a huge issue as there were so many foreign delegates surprised to find such an aspiring city having such few Hotels. The rates for Hotels were selling were exceptional some selling at 5 times there normal rent. The customers had to shell out such exorbitant amount of money and even then found no rooms as the Inventory was hardly there.
The major benefit was also taken by oyorooms guest houses as they sold at high rents. But most of these guest found the quality and professionalism below par and resulted in tourists all over the globe feeling unhappy about the state of events.
Everything from roads, Expo Centre, facilities were amazing however Hotels were not available. Due to the marriage season things were made even harder.
P.K. Group of Hotels & Apartments, a promising & aspiring Hotel chain has decided to increase there inventory to 1000 rooms in Noida only by the end of 2022. This is a huge leap from there current inventory of 100 rooms in Noida. Speaking to there Director, Mr. Rahul Yadav he told us that they have focussed there complete attention to this city only. He said, Being a national player in the Hotel Industry, We at P.K. Group of Hotels have a responsibility towards the growth of the Hotel Industry. We are currently operating in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad with an inventory of 650 rooms in total. However understanding the requirement of all the above cities as we have Hotels & Apartments, We have understood that Noida is going through a crises when it comes to supply of Hotels. We have taken it on our shoulders to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future – As the city is multiplying every 2 years we need to make sure our entire focus on inventory expansion is focussed towards this city. We are currently developing Hotels and by 2022, Will have added 900 more rooms in Noida spread over various locations like Sector 51, Sector 144, Sector 72, Sector 27, Sector 18 & Sector 135.
Such Hoteliers taking it on there shoulders to make sure the Hotel Industry assists the city to move forward is an inspiration. We hope the situation will get better over the next few years.
