Our Story

Five Decades Ago, A young aspiring entrepreneur from Punjab, India tried to make a dream of his come true. Fond of traveling, he wanted to open a hotel in the Capital of India, New Delhi. A hotel that was clean, safe and pleasant; yet affordable for a middle class person like himself. He sold his village land and came to Delhi and bought a new piece of land for the construction of his new hotel.  Everything was envisioned and designed by himself, to the extent that even an architect was not involved in the design of the hotel as the patriarch could not find any that would put his dreams to paper.

And so, PK Budget Hotel, East of Kailash formerly known as Kapoor Holiday Inn opened its doors for guests with 20 rooms in 1978. As no one was a 'hotel management' graduate or had any exposure to regular hotels and their operations; they did what they thought was right and fair.

Some ideals that were laid down at its inception, and have come to define PK Group of Hotels & Apartments are as follows:-

• High standards of cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance.

• Well lit and well ventilated, aesthetically pleasing rooms.

• Plenty of open spaces, gardens and lawns.

• Sincere and transparent pricing policy.

• Fair and fixed prices, great value for money.

• Home Cooked Indian & Continental Food.

• No commission to Travel Agents. Best Deals to Direct Customers.

• Visual on display menu, fresh preparations made every day.

• In-House preparation of Food with utmost emphases on Hygiene.

• 24 Hours room service.

• No Tipping Policy.

Most of these policies were quite new at that point of time and sometimes, like in the case of open kitchen, no tips, or no commission, against the accepted way of running a hotel. In spite of all forebodings of failure, the hotel was a runaway success. It grew from strength to strength and was awarded many awards and recognitions for quality services in its category. 25 years hence, the hotel has grown from 20 to 200 rooms, and has eight more sister concerns.

Our variety of accommodation solutions ranges from Budget Hotels, Corporate Residences and Serviced Apartments. Our mission is to provide customers a value for their money with quality products and impeccable service at reasonable prices. This has made us grow over the years into a chain of offering various product types ranging from Hotels to Serviced Apartments. 

The guiding light and founding father of the dream has passed away, but his vision lives on as the second generation takes over the operations. The name of our chain i.e. PK are also initial letters of our inventor and with his envision and dreams, we are taking this brand to unforeseen heights. 

The essential ideals, decided at the time of inception are still held sacred, and adhered to. Our family still place a very active role in operations and makes sure our product offer good value for money, but as times change, we have tried to adopt, adapt and improve on the services, introducing features like:
